RCP 401 Decorator-Style Remote Control Panel for SMP 400 Series Products
- Provide a Decorator-style remote control panel for the purpose of remotely controlling, monitoring and connecting USB storage when paired with an Extron SMP 400 Series Streaming Media Processor.
- Connection Requirements
- USB Requirements
- Provide one rear accessible USB type C port mounted at a right angle to the faceplate.
- Provide one front accessible USB type A receptacle
- Support 12V power connection
- Provide one rear captive screw connection for 12VDC power

- Mounting requirements
- Device shall have the ability to be mounted directly in a wall, lectern, or other flat surface and shall be able to be secured using the supplied mud ring and hardware.
- Device shall have the ability to be mounted to the surface of a wall using an optional wall box.
- Device shall include both white and black faceplates.
- Cabling requirements
- Device shall include a 6 foot (1.8 meters) USB-C cable for direct connection to an Extron SMP 401 series product.
- Device may be optionally extended over fiber optic cable up to 492 feet (150 meters) using an Extron UCS 900 Series.
- Shall include backlit rubberized button panel interface.
- Device shall have a total of six soft white LED backlit buttons, dedicated for record, pause, stop, chapter markings, swap and layout preset recall.
- Buttons shall feature two levels of illumination, dim and bright
- Buttons shall illuminate brightly when active, and have the ability to flash
- Record button shall feature red illumination during recording.
- Record button shall have a raised bump to allow user to located it with low visibility
- Shall include status LED indicators
- Device shall have a red and green status LED indicator for alarm and button press activity
- Device shall have a green LED for USB storage indicating:
- Off – no storage is detected, or the location is not configured.
- Green solid – Storage is detected, and the port is configured.
- Green blink – Storage is being written, or accessed.
- Shall include audible warning - buzzer.
- Device shall have an internal buzzer that sounds in conjunction with the status LED.
- Shall include a means to lock out the front panel controls.
- When enabled, the buttons flash 3 times when any one button is pressed.
- Device shall be Section 508 Compliant and shall meet or exceed accessibility standards for Electronic Information Technology
- Shall meet regulatory compliances
- Shall be certified to meet safety compliances under CE, c-UL, and UL
- Shall meet EMI/EMC compliances under CE, C-tick, FCC Class A, ICES, and VCCI
