1. Provide interconnection for the transmission of USB data, DisplayPort AV, and power signals simultaneously over a USB-C hybrid copper-optical cable assembly
   1. Transmission requirements
      1. Shall comply with the USB standard established by the USB Implementers Forum, Inc.
      2. Shall support USB data rates up to 5 Gbps (USB 3)
      3. Shall support DisplayPort video and audio signals
         1. Provide two dedicated lanes for DisplayPort signals over optical fibers
         2. Support resolutions up to 4096x2160 @ 30 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and 8-bit color depth
         3. Support data rates up to 16.2 Gbps
      4. Shall deliver up to 60 watts of power
      5. Shall support bidirectional USB power flow
      6. Shall be backwards compatible with USB 2/1 devices
   2. Construction requirements:
      1. Active cable circuitry shall derive power from either the connected host or the peripheral device
      2. Shall be 15 feet (4.5 meters) in length
      3. Shall include multimode fibers
      4. Shall include 24 AWG tinned copper wires
      5. Shall provide USB-C male connectors with gold-plated contacts
      6. Shall provide a PVC cable jacket
      7. Shall allow a bend radius of 0.79" (20 mm)
      8. Shall have a cable outer diameter of 0.26” (6.5 mm)
      9. Shall support a tensile strength of 100 N (10.2 kg, 22.5 lbs)
      10. Shall provide a compression load resistance of 200 N (20.4 kg, 45 lbs)
      11. Shall support a pull strength of 111 N (11.3 kg, 25 lbs)
      12. Shall provide protection from outside electrical interference
   3. General requirements
      1. Shall have a minimum storage temperature of -20 °C and a maximum of 70 °C
      2. Shall have a minimum operating temperature of 0 °C and a maximum of 50 °C
      3. Shall comply with industry standards
