1. Provide a termination solution for singlemode fiber optic cables
   1. Singlemode fiber optic connector for fast, reliable termination of singlemode fiber optic cables
   2. Connector construction requirements
      1. Shall provide industry-standard LC-type fiber optic connection
      2. Shall provide a pre-polished, UPC – ultra physical contact endface
      3. Shall provide pre-cleaved 8.3/125 µm fiber stub with index-matching gel
         1. Glass fiber core diameter of 8.3 µm
         2. Glass fiber outer diameter of 125 µm
      4. Shall provide strain relief boots for 3.0 mm, 2.0 mm, 900 µm, and 250 µm cable diameters
      5. Shall include a wedge clip with visual indicator to ensure a high quality termination
   3. Installation requirements
      1. Shall be field installable using the Extron Fiber Optic Termination Kit
      2. Shall be compatible with OS1 and OS2 fiber optic cable
   4. Performance requirements
      1. Shall support insertion loss of no more than 0.5 dB
         1. Nominal loss: 0.2 dB
      2. Shall be reusable up to two (2) times
   5. General requirements
      1. Shall conform to industry standards for fiber optic connectors
         1. Performance: TIA/EIA 568
         2. Fiber Optic Connector Intermateability Standard - FOCIS: TIA/EIA 604
      2. Shall be available in a package as a quantity of ten (10)
