VNM Recorder

1. Provide a networked device for recording and playback of multiple audio and video streams
   1. Rack mountable, 4U high metal enclosed recorder shall:
      1. Support recording of up to five sources. Each of the five source streams may include:
         1. Standard video or computer-video signals
         2. Digital audio
         3. Serial RS232 data
         4. UDP networked data
         5. Forward Error Correction - FEC audio data
      2. Support playback of a group of up to five source streams which have been recorded in the same session, each of which may contain the elements called out in (i)
      3. Include 2 Terabytes of RAID5 formatted storage configured with a hot, standby hard drive
      4. Include 2 RJ45 Ethernet control ports supporting 10/100/1000Base-T, half/full duplex operation
      5. Support the ability to configure four multi-channel recorders as a system and play back synchronized recording sessions with between 5 and 20 sources
      6. Support time synchronized playback of all streaming source elements including:
         1. Video or computer-video
         2. Digital audio
         3. Serial RS-232 data
         4. UDP networked data
         5. Forward Error Correction - FEC audio data
      7. Support configuration and control from a web page interface, generated internally or from a streaming system controller, which provides management over:
         1. Device IP address and logical name
         2. Streaming encode and decode configuration
         3. Compression settings
         4. Streaming bit rate control settings
         5. Recording and playback management
      8. Support playback management capabilities that include:
         1. Search
         2. Locate
         3. Variable speed playback forward or reverse at definable speeds including:
            1. 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x and 10x real time playback rates
            2. Fractional speeds
         4. Single frame advanced, forward or reverse
      9. Support playback management from an external control system
      10. Support viewing of recorded playback streams from compatible hardware codecs, decoders or software decoders
      11. Support recording and playback of signals at the following frame rates:
          1. 640x480 to 1600x1200: 50 Hz - 85 Hz at 60 fps
          2. 1920x1200: 30 Hz - 65 Hz at 30 fps
          3. 640p, 720p: 60 Hz at 60 fps
          4. 1080p: 23.97, 29.94, 30, 60 Hz at 23.97, 29.94, 30, 60 fps
          5. 1080i: 29.97, 59.94 Hz at 29.97, 59.94 fps
          6. Custom programmed input signals and resolutions
   2. Approved device shall be the Extron VNM Recorder (60-1121-01); no alternates or equals)
