- Provide a multi-window processor that shall support up to four inputs and two outputs for scaling and combining of HDMI video sources into four windows on a single display
- Rack-mountable multi-window processor for combining HDMI video sources into four windows on a single display onto an HDMI background
- Video Input Requirements
- Shall provide video input connections consisting of
- Four (4) HDMI
- One (1) live background input on HDMI
- Shall support the following HDMI 2.0 specification features on each input
- Computer and video resolutions up to 4096x2160 @ 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling
- Data rates up to 18 Gbps
- 8-bit color bit depth for resolutions up to 4K/60
- 10-bit color bit depth for resolutions up to 4K/30
- Shall provide automatic detection of the following input video parameters
- Total pixels, active pixels, active lines, H/V starting points,
- Shall provide image adjustments for brightness and contrast
- Shall provide storage and recall of video parameters and picture settings
- Input presets are manually saved and recalled
- Shall enable source rotation of 90 degrees on Inputs 2 and 4
- Shall save video settings and picture adjustments
- Shall save and recall input presets via Ethernet or RS-232
- Shall provide video input connections consisting of
- Video Output Requirements
- Shall provide simultaneous video output connections
- One (1) HDMI
- One (1) Twisted Pair
- Shall provide a range of selectable video output rates from 640x480 to 4096x2160, including HDTV 1080p/60 and 4K/60
- Shall support 4:4:4 chroma sampling
- Shall provide capability to define custom output resolutions
- Shall provide aspect ratio control with fill and follow modes
- When in FILL mode, the video image shall always fill the output screen without letterbox or pillarbox
- When in FOLLOW mode, the video image on the output screen shall always preserve the aspect ratio of the input signals without distortion
- Shall provide unrestricted four-window or picture-in-picture (PIP) display that supports output rotation of 90 degrees
- Shall provide simultaneous video output connections
- Window Preset Requirements
- Shall save size, position, and priority information for all windows and images
- Shall save background and label settings
- Shall save and recall window presets via front panel, Ethernet, RS-232, or USB
- Any combination of digital video sources
- Adjustments for sizing, positioning, and magnification of each window, plus background image and window border color selection
- On-screen window labels with configurable settings
- Assignable to each window
- Editable with up to 16 characters
- Input via Ethernet or RS-232
- Options for text positioning, color, character size, background, and text border
- Shall provide capability to present various live or static images as a background
- Full-motion, high-resolution content from an HDMI source
- Any image stored to memory (in BMP, JPG, PNG, or TIFF format)
- Shall provide internal test patterns for calibration and setup
- Shall support image freeze and unfreeze via front panel, Ethernet, or RS-232 connection
- Shall support window mute and unmute via front panel, Ethernet, or RS-232 connection
- Shall support seamless transition effects for upstream signal switching or muting and unmuting windows
- Cut: Window shall immediately disappear from, or reappear on, the screen
- Dissolve: Window shall fade out or fade up on the screen
- Selectable duration of the transition effect
- Shall provide automatic layout mode to automatically configure window layout to full screen, side by side, pyramid, or a quad arrangement, based on which windows have an active signal or graphic
- Audio Requirements
- Shall support stereo audio de-embedding of embedded HDMI two-channel PCM audio to be extracted to the analog outputs
- Shall support audio de-embedding of multi-channel bitstream audio and passing to the twisted pair or HDMI output
- EDID Requirements
- Shall provide automatic EDID management between connected devices
- Selection of Pre-stored EDID files
- Capture of EDID from any connected display device
- Upload of custom generated EDID files
- Assignment of any pre-stored, captured, or custom uploaded EDID file to any input connection
- Shall support assignment of a user-selected EDID resolution and refresh rate to the incoming video signal
- Shall provide automatic EDID management between connected devices
- HDCP Requirements
- Shall be HDCP 2.3 compliant
- Authenticate and maintain continuous verification of HDCP key exchange with connected sink device
- Authenticate and maintain continuous verification of HDCP key exchange with connected source devices
- Option to disable HDCP processing at any HDMI input connection when passing unencrypted content
- Visual confirmation of HDCP compliance when encrypted content is routed to a non-HDCP compliant display
