FOX 3G HD-SDI MM
- Provide a fiber optic transceiver that shall support the long-haul transmission of 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, and SDI signals
- Long distance signal extension of single link 3G-SDI/HD-SDI/SDI digital video signals over multimode fiber optic cabling
- Video input requirements
- Shall provide one (1) BNC connector for single link 3G-SDI/HD-SDI/SDI digital video signals
- Shall support data rates from 270 Mbps to 2.97 Gbps
- Shall comply with SMPTE 259M, 292M, 424M, and ITU digital video standards
- Shall pass all data allowed within published SMPTE and ITU digital video standards, including embedded audio, ancillary ID and metadata information, and SDTI, SMPTE 305M, and HD-SDTI, SMPTE 348M, digital video signals
- Shall provide automatic input cable equalization for up to -30 dB of cable loss
- Audio input requirements
- Shall support embedded AES audio on BNC input connector
- Video output requirements
- Shall provide two (2) buffered BNC connectors for single link 3G-SDI/HD-SDI/SDI digital video signals
- Shall support data rates from 270 Mbps to 2.97 Gbps
- Shall comply with SMPTE 259M, 292M, 424M, and ITU digital video standards
- Shall pass all data allowed within published SMPTE and ITU digital video standards, including embedded audio, ancillary ID and metadata information, and SDTI, SMPTE 305M, and HD-SDTI, SMPTE 348M, digital video signals
- Shall provide automatic reclocking on buffered outputs to reshape and restore digital signals
- Reclocking for 270 Mbps, 1.485 Gbps, 2.97 Gbps data rates
- Reclocking is bypassed for non-standard data rates
- Audio output requirements
- Shall support embedded AES audio on BNC output connector
- Interconnection requirements
- Shall provide interconnection between transceivers over multimode fiber optic cabling
- Shall provide two (2) LC-type fiber optic connectors for interconnection between transceivers
- Transmission requirements
- Shall support extension of single link 3G-SDI/HD-SDI/SDI digital video signals over multimode fiber optic cabling
- Shall provide a fiber optic signal transmission distance capability of 2 km (1.25 miles) over OM3 or OM4 laser optimized multimode fiber optic cabling
- Shall support an optical loss budget of at least 7 dB between transceiver and receiver
- Power requirements
- Shall be equipped with an external, universal AC power supply capable of supporting 100 – 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz power
- Setup, control, and configuration requirements
- Shall support three modes of operation
- Bidirectional transceiver mode
- Transmitter with local monitor outputs mode
- Receiver with daisy-chaining mode
- Shall provide two (2) DIP switches on rear panel for mode selection

- Shall provide visual signal on LED indicators located on front panel for video data rate and power
- Shall provide visual signal on LED indicators located on rear panel for link status
