What is LEED?
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that develops and administers LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), a widely used green building rating system. LEED provides a framework for designing, constructing, and operating buildings that prioritize energy efficiency, resource conservation, and environmental performance.
How does LEED certification work?
Projects earn LEED certification by meeting defined criteria across categories such as energy use, materials, indoor environmental quality, and sustainability practices.
